Siem Reap, Cambodia
I travelled with my family to Siem Reap in Cambodia.
We stayed at the Shinta Mani Club- a boutique style hotel with amazing staff. The hotel actually supports and trains young children of Siem Reap. It had a very tranquil feel. I would recommend upgrading to a deluxe room.
The star attraction to visit is of course the ancient Angkor Wat plus other temple ruins. This is truly spectacular, especially at sunrise.
We also enjoyed a 4WD Dune Buggy tour through the villages and rice paddies.
It is ridiculously cheap in Siem reap with a 1 hour massage for USD1! The shopping is great especially the handmade leather shoes.
Eating and drinking in ‘Pub Street’- is a must and has the most fabulous atmosphere.
