Day 1 - December 22. Arrive Nairobi

Your Christmas Safari in Africa begins in Nairobi. Upon landing at the airport, you’ll be escorted to your hotel.

Day 2 - December 23. Nairobi, Masai Mara

Board a flight for your journey to Masai Mara in Kenya. Upon arrival, you’re taken on your first game drive en route to your residence, perfectly situated on the Mara River. Making your way to the camp, you might be lucky enough to spot local creatures including elephants and giraffes. From here, settle in to your tent retreat before an afternoon game drive.

Day 3 - December 24. Masai Mara (Christmas Eve)

Perhaps awake before dawn and experience the Mara on an early morning game drive before breakfast. Otherwise, take the morning at your own pace, enjoying the sounds of the bush being so close to nature in your tent. The afternoon has been set aside for leisure time before a game drive.

Day 4 - December 25. Masai Mara (Christmas Day)

Christmas in the Mara is a magical experience and you might like to rise a little early as everyone does on this special day. Following lunch served on the Mara, an afternoon game drive presents another wildlife spotting opportunity. A delicious dinner and Maasai dance ties off your magical Christmas in the Mara.

Day 5 - December 26. Masai Mara, Serengeti National Park

Transfer to the vast plains of Serengeti National Park. Savour an afternoon of game drives, tracking the great array of creatures and wildlife that live in this expansive area. This evening return to the lodge for dinner.

Day 6 - December 27. Serengeti National Park

Perhaps rise early this morning for a game drive. Or if you find yourself tempted by the lodge’s swimming pool with views of the waterhole, you’re welcome to take a moment and relax here. Enjoy the vast and seemingly endless plains where herds of animals are frequently spotted. Serengeti National Park is particularly well known for zebra and wildebeest, so you’re likely to see a few of these docile creatures today!

Day 7 - December 28. Serengeti National Park

Your final full day in Serengeti National Park is spent exploring at your own leisure. You may wish to capture sunset from your private balcony, as you gaze out to the savannah, feeling at one with the untamed plains.

Day 8 - December 29. Serengeti National Park, Nairobi

This morning you’ll say goodbye to Tanzania and enjoy a breathtaking scenic flight to Nairobi. You’ll return to Hemingways Nairobi for a final night in East Africa. Once you’ve arrived here, you are free to spend the rest of the afternoon at your own leisure.

Day 9 - December 30. Nairobi, Victoria Falls

Board a flight to Victoria Falls. Cross the border and upon arrival transfer to your hotel, situated right on the Zambezi River and walking distance to the thundering falls. Here, Relish the rare opportunity to spot indigenous wildlife roaming the resort grounds.

Day 10 - December 31. Victoria Falls (New Year’s Eve)

Today you have a choice of sightseeing. Later this evening, you’ll enjoy a special New Year’s Signature Experience.
